upper contro

arm and the
stabilizer
linkage
assembly from
both
sides of
the
vehicle
as
described
in
this
chapter,

two
bolls
(F

64),
washers and
self-locking
nuts
on each side securing
the
stabilizer
support to
top
of the
frame.
8.
Remove the two
bolts
and
washers
(Figure 65)
on
each side securing
the stabilizer support to
the
transmission

9. Pull
the
stabilizer support straight back and
out
of
the frame
(Figure 66).

Inspect
by
reversing these
removal
steps
while
noting
the
following:
a.
lnstall new
self-locking nuts.
b. Refer
to Table
2 for
stabilizer
support
torque
specifica
tions.

Inspection
I. Check
the welded
sections (Figure
67)
on
the
stabilizer support
for
cracks.
2.
Check
the mounting
boll
holes
(Figure
68)
for
cracks or elongatio n.
3.
Withdraw the
stabilizer
bar
(A,
Figure
69) from
the
stabilizer support
tube.
