filler cap

fuel
lines

Remove the screw securing
the
knob

fue l
shutoff
valve.
Rem ove

7. Loosen the mounting bolt on each side securing
the rear
of
the
fuel
tank mo
unting
bracke
t
and
spacer
to the
frame.
8.
Remove the clamp ing
band. or
tie-wrap,
and
re-
mo
ve
the front
porti on
of
the
PVT air
ex
haust du
ct.

Remov
e
the air
box
inlet
duct from the backs
ide
of
the fuel
tank.
10.
Remove
the mounting bo
lt.
loosened
in Step
7,
o
n
eac
h side
securing
the
rear of
the fuel tank
mounting
bracket
and space r to
the
frame.

Ca
refully pu
ll
the fuel
tank
toward
the
rea
r
and
disengage the
front locating
tabs
from
the
frame re-
ceptacles.
12.
Pull
the
fuel
tank straight up and remo
ve
the
tank
along
with
both fue
l
hoses
attac hed
to the bottom
of
the tank
.
Rem ove the fue
l tank from
the
frame.
13. Inspec
t the
tan k
for
any
damage
or
leakin
g.
14.
Store
the tan k
in a
place where there
is
little
chance
for lire
and where
the
tan
k w
ill
not
be dam-
. .- ..
age
d.
15. Insta ll
by
reversing
these remo val
steps whil
e
noting
the followi
ng:
a.
Chec k for fuel leakage after
installation
IS
completed.
b. Tig
htc n
fuel tank mo
unting
bolt

securely.
