white
plastic
bearing cup and
springs
into
the
bod
y.
8. Place
the
gearshift selector
body
in a
vise with
soft
jaws.
Locate
the body so it
is
level.

the switch from moving

Loctitc Primer

Apply
a light coat
of
ThreeB ond 121 5
gasket
scaler to
the body mating surface.

Carefully install

cover/shift selector rod
assem
bly
onto the
body. The tab
end ofthe se-
lecto r

ioned

of the
shift selec
to
r rod or
the
switch
will
be
damaged.
b. Install the
five screws in
the
cover. Carefully
press down
on
the
cover
to
compress
the
spring
and screw in
the five
screws.
Tighten
the
screws a
few turns
ata time in a crisscross
pattern
to
the
to
rque
spec ific
ation
listed in
Table
I.

install
