Remove the two nuts

washers
and
two
screws
securing
the
carburetor
mounting
bracket
(Figure

to the
frame
.
7. Mark
all
hoses
prior to
disconnecting them
from
the
carburetor
.
8. Diseonn eet
the
fuel
supply
hose (Figure
64)
hose
II
from
the
carburetor.
Plug the
end
of the
supply
hose.
9. Loosen the front clamp,
slide
the
carburetor
back
and
fre e
it from
the
intake
manifold
on the
cylinder
head.
10. Unscrew
and
disconnect the
starting enrich-
ment
(ch oke) ca
ble
fro
m
the carbur etor
(Figu
re
65
).

a.
Remove
the
top cover from the
instrument
panel
cove
r.
b. Remove the two
screws securing
the
instru-
men!
panel
cove
r and
remove
the cover.
c. Unscrew the
nut securing
the toggle
control
knob
to the instrument
panel
cover mounting
bracket.
d. Carefully
withdraw the
toggle
control knob and
starting
enrichment
(choke)
cable assembly
from
the instrument
panel
cover
mounting
bracket.

Unscrew
the retaining ring
(A,

) se-

the toggle control knob to the head-
light
lower
pod.
c.
Carefully withdraw
the toggle
control knoh and
starting
enrichment
(choke) cable
assembly

Figure 66) from
the headl
ight
lowe r
pod.

Remove
any clip
s
holdin
g
the
ca
ble to
the frame.
13.
Make
a
note
of
the
cable
routing through
the
frame, then remove
it.
14.
Lubricate the
new
cable
as described
in
Chap-
ter
Three.
15.
Install
by reversing these removal
steps. Care-
fully
insert
the
cable
end into the
carburetor and
tighten
securely.
