1. lnsta ll the weights (Figure 58) as follows:
NOTE
The
three Allen
bo lts used

a. Fit each we ight (Figu re 56) into the sliding
sheave and slide the Allen bo lt (B, Figure 57)
through the we ight,
b. App ly ThreeBond TB 1342, Loetite No 242 or
an equivalent to the threads of
new
locknuts
and install the locknuts (A, Figu re 57).
Tighten the locknut until
it
bottoms against
the aluminum sliding sheave tower; do not
ove rtighten the locknut.
NOTE
If
a
weight
does not pivo
t smoo thly,
the
locknut is too tight .
c. Pivot the weight back and forth and check for
free movement of the weight. It must pivot
smoot hly.
d . Rep eat tor eac h we ight assembly.
2. Assemble the spider roll er assembly (Figure 69)
as
follow s:
a.
Place a bushing into the middle of the tower
(F igu re 55) .
b. Insert a washer ( Figu re 54) on both sides of
the bushing (Figu re 7 1).
e. Install the pin as follows. Place the spid er
over a socket or suitable tool anddrive the pin
through the bushing and
was
hers (Figure 72).
Maintain the same amount of clearance on
bot h sides of the pin.
