Cause/Check item/Solution
Make sure that keys are not locked.
Since no control command is registered by factory default, "DISPLAY
POWER" keys do not work. Register and associate control commands in
order to enable these keys.
When a control command is executed using a key on the front panel, all
keys are disabled until the command is executed or "INVALID TIME"
passes.
Check the set time of "POWER SWITCH ON" that prevent accidental
operation.
Immediately after start-up, all keys are disabled until the connection of
the sink device is completed.
Settings of some menus will not be saved if the "MENU/SET" key is not
pressed after setting.
Are the following items set correctly?
For RS-232C: baud rate and data length
For LAN: IP address or subnet mask
Is COM PORT's FUNCTION set to "RECIEVER" mode?
If it is set to "TRANSMITTER" mode, the communication command of
the MSD cannot be controlled externally.
For RS-232C communication, set "7.11.3 RS-232C transmission
between control devices" to "OFF". The MSD cannot be controlled
from the RS-232C connector of the HDC receiver connected to the
HDBaseT output connector.
If control command is executed by communication commands,
communication command controls are disabled until execution of control
commands finishes or "INVALID TIME" passes.
Immediately after start-up, communication command controls are
disabled until connection of the sink device is confirmed.
Make sure that the registered control command and the number of bytes
are correct. Devices requiring delimiters may not execute commands if
the delimiters are not sent. If the set number of bytes is incorrect, the
control command is not sent completely or unnecessary data is sent
after the control command.
Is the registered control command linked to the desired control
command execution condition?
Is COM PORT's FUNCTION set to "RECIEVER" mode?
In order to send the control command, set the communication port to
"TRANSMITTER" mode.
If using LAN, set the IP address and other settings of the connected
device.
For RS-232C communication, check the settings in" 7.11.3 RS-232C
transmission between control devices".
