Compaq ProLiant 1600 servers ship standard with a hot-pluggable drive cage containing five
1-inch hot-pluggable drive bays. Four removable media bays contain one-third height diskette
drive and one-half-height IDE CD-ROM drive. Two bays can contain a second CD-ROM
drive, tape drives, hard drives, or any SCSI device.
The Compaq ProLiant 1600 servers support up to seven mass storage devices. The following
table and illustration describe the drive configurations.
