Connecting the Power and Switching On

Important
Make sure that the wall outlet is
near the machine and readily ac-
cessible.
The wall outlet must be easily ac-
cessible.
Do not switch on until everything is
connected properly.

Insert the power cable into the
socket located at the rear of the
machine.

Plug in the cable to the mains.

Turn the power switch on.

Important
The supply from the wall outlet
must not fluctuate more than
15V either side of 120V AC.
The power cord should not be
laid in a place where it might
trip somebody.
Do not lay anything on the pow-
er cord.
If you have to use an extension
cord, make sure that it is capa-
ble of carrying 125V/15A, and
that your facsimile terminal is
the only piece of equipment
connected to that cord.
