Installing the Md4/PCI Board in a PC
13
To set the screen configuration
1. Highlight the desired screen number and configuration
in the Screen Configuration field.
2. Click Apply -> OK .
The Windows 95 driver (version 4.01 or later) supports
up to four boards (eight screens), but you cannot mix
board types. For example, you cannot run a Windows
operating system on one Md2/PCI™ board and one
Md4/PCI board.
Selecting palette options
The Windows 95 driver supports the following palette
options:
• Color palette
• Dynamic gray palette
• Static gray palette
Color palette
The color palette is a 256-color palette.
Dynamic gray palette
The dynamic gray palette reserves the first 10 and last 10
entries in the palette for the Windows NT operating sys-
tem, but you can manipulate the middle 236 entries. Your
application can create a 256-entry gray ramp in any 8-bit
driver with the
Windows API
SetSystemPaletteUse()
call, but doing so causes all icons to be redrawn in black
and white.
