O-2 Preparation
• Be sure Google Chrome is installed on your computer.
• V440-F hardware requirements for firmware update:
• V440-F Main Unit;
• Ethernet Cable;
• I/O Cable;
• 24V Power Supply.
• Download the Omron Microscan DDU Installer from the Omron website and install it. The DDU is
available at: https://automation.omron.com/en/us/products/families/barcode-readers
V440-F's Software section on the Downloads tab.
• The latest V440-F firmware files can be acquired from your regional Omron website or sales representative.

Save the current settings to the V440-F by clicking the flash icon at the upper right of the
WebLink interface.

Click the gear icon at the upper right of the WebLink screen and then click the Save icon in the
Application Settings menu that appears.

The location where the .wls configuration file is stored depends on the browser settings.
Example: C:\Users\(username)\Downloads.
