Operation Modes

The Reader/Writer has two operation modes: Run Mode and Safe Mode. You can use the control signal
on pin 2 of the power supply connector to the Reader/Writer to change between these modes.

Run Mode

If you connect the control signal (pin 2, white wire) on the power supply connector on the Reader/Writer
to the 24-VDC (positive) side of the power supply and turn ON the power supply, the Reader/Writer will
start in Run Mode. Operation is performed as specified in the commands from the host device and the
results are returned to the host device as responses.

Safe Mode

If you connect the control signal (pin 2, white wire) on the power supply connector on the Reader/Writer
to the 0-VDC (negative) side of the power supply and turn ON the power supply, the Reader/Writer will
start in Safe Mode. The Safe Mode is used when you do not remember the IP address that is set in the
Reader/Writer. In Safe Mode, the Reader/Writer will start with the following IP settings.
IP address: 192.168.1.200
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Commands that can be used during normal operation,
such as RF Tag communications, can be executed.
Connect the control signal (pin 2, white wire) on the power supply
connector to 24 VDC.
Only reading status and initializing settings
from the Web browser interface are possible.
Connect the control signal (pin 2, white wire) on the power supply
connector to 0 VDC.
