The ports on the fan control manifold are marked for easy identification of
components. Example: P1 is the gear pump connection port (see
(page A–1)
to identify the function of the hydraulic lines and cartridge valves
at each manifold port).
1. Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting decks, stop engine, apply
parking brake and remove key from the ignition switch.
2. Read the
General Precautions for Removing and Installing Hydraulic System
Components (page
3. Unlatch and raise hood.
4. To prevent contamination of hydraulic system during fan control manifold
removal, thoroughly clean exterior of manifold.
5. Label wire harness electrical connectors that attach to manifold solenoid
coils. Disconnect connectors from the solenoid coils.
6. Disconnect hydraulic lines from manifold and put caps or plugs on open
hydraulic lines and fittings. Label disconnected hydraulic lines for proper
assembly.
