A. If rod diameter is 16 mm (0.630 in), torque lock nut from 41 to 47 N·m
(30 to 35 ft-lb).
B. If rod diameter is 19 mm (0.750 in), torque lock nut from 82 to 94 N·m
(60 to 70 ft-lb).
5. Lubricate head and piston with hydraulic oil. Carefully slide shaft assembly
into cylinder barrel.
Prevent damage when clamping the cylinder's barrel into a vise;
clamp on the clevis only. Do not close vise enough to distort the
barrel.
6. Mount lift cylinder in a vise with soft jaws. Secure head in barrel:
A. Align retaining ring hole in the head with the access slot in the barrel.
B. Insert the retaining ring hook into the hole and rotate head clockwise until
the retaining ring is completely pulled into the barrel and the ring ends
are covered.
C. Apply silicone sealer to barrel access slot.
