1. Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting decks, stop engine, engage
parking brake and remove key from the ignition switch.

General Precautions for Removing and Installing Hydraulic System
Components (page
3. To prevent contamination of hydraulic system during steering cylinder
removal, thoroughly clean exterior of steering cylinder.
4. Remove hydraulic hoses from steering cylinder. Label the hydraulic hoses to
show their correct position on the steering cylinder for assembly purposes.
5. Put caps or plugs on disconnected hoses and fittings to prevent
contamination.
