Upgrade and Repair Procedures
Replacing a TN795 board with a TN2314 for R10
To replace a TN795 with a TN2314:
1. Connect the laptop directly into the Definity One or IP600, TN795.
For instructions on how to connect see
page
2. Telnet to the Definity One or IP600.
For telnet instructions, see
C-3.
3. At the lac prompt, enter bash.
A prompt containing [computer name-lucent3] displays.
4. Enter: shutdown audix
Caution: If you do not shut down AUDIX before doing a back up, the
system will do a forced shutdown of AUDIX.
It takes about 3 minutes for the bash prompt to return.
5. Use the d1stat command to verify the status of the AUDIX shutdown.
6. After AUDIX shuts down, enter exit.
The lac prompt displays.
7. Enter definity at the prompt to connect to a System Access Terminal (SAT)
session.

C-3.
You are prompted to enter a Terminal Type.
8. If running Windows 2000 on your laptop enter WIN2K, otherwise enter
NTT.
9. At Command: enter save trans.
Either a "Command successfully completed" message displays or all error
messages are logged.
10. Enter logoff.
11. Enter y to proceed with logoff.
12. Open the Internet Explorer web browser.
13. In the Address field, enter: http://192.11.13.6 and press Enter.
14. Click Administer System and enter lucent3 for both the User Name and
Password.
The system's desktop (Definity Administration) displays for Definity One of
IP600.
15. Click Login to 192, and under Remote Control, enter lucent3 for both the
user name and password.
