System Initialization
Obtain a password file
Setting RAS IP Address:
To connect the system to the modem, you need to get the RAS IP address from
the registration group at the time of License file generation. The steps involved
are:
1. Connect to the Definity One or IP600 through the Web interface. This is
done by typing http://192.11.13.6 on the Internet Explorer with proxy server
turned OFF. Login as "lucent3" and password "lucent3".
2. Go to the Administer system, which pops up the Screen to administer the
system. Select the Terminal server option on the screen. Login as "lucent3"
and password "lucent3".
3. Select the Network Connections on the Definity One or IP600 desktop and
change the IP address on the incoming connections with the RAS IP
address. Refer the previous sections for the pictorial walk through.
Setting IP600 Name:
To name the system, the steps involved are:
1. Telnet to the Definity One or IP600 from the laptop, which is cabled to the
PCMCIA card.
2. Go to the "bash" shell from LAC by typing "bash".
3. On BASH, use "setip" command to set the name. The format is
4. setip name = Name of the Definity One or IP600. E.g. setip name=SCANA
Setting Product-id:
You need to set the product-id for each application. Get the product-id for each
application from the registration group. The steps involved are:
1. Telnet to the Definity One or IP600 from the laptop, which is cabled to the
PCMCIA card.
2. Go to the "bash" shell from LAC by typing "bash".
3. On BASH, use productid command to set the productid on the Definity
One or IP600. There are three components DEFINITY, AUDIX and GAM.
Each component has a unique id given by the services group at the time of
registration.
"productid GAM-product-id = 7000000000" is used to configure the GAM id
"productid Definity-product-id = 100000000" is used to configure DEFINITY
id and
"productid Audix-product-id = 200000000" is used to configure AUDIX id.
