Obtain a password file
7. Click on Start, Programs, and select command prompt to open a DOS
window.
8. Change directory to the storage location of the password file.
9. Type ftp192.11.13.6 at the prompt.
10. At the login prompt, type anonymous; then press Enter.
11. There is no password, so press Enter again. This action puts you in the
correct location to transfer the password files.
12. If using an installation script, type put installscript.sh to transfer the script
file.
13. Type bin
"Type set to I" displays. This sets up the binary transfer type.
14. Type put password.bin to transfer the password file.
15. Type bye to close the ftp session.
16. Close the DOS window.
17. Maximize the telnet window.
18. Type exit to return to the lac prompt.
19. At the lac prompt, type the command loadpwd password.bin to install the
password file.
20. Type bash at the lac prompt.
21. Type cd //d/LucentPub/ftproot.
22. If using an installation script, execute the command installscript.sh, or the
new name if changed, by typing the following at the bash prompt:
DefinityOne-lucent3> ./installscript.sh
DefinityOne-lucent3> ./newfile.sh
This script assigns product ids, sets INADS telephone numbers, sets up
RAS, etc. The system prompts you to reboot for the changes to take effect.
23. Type reboot immediate to have the changes take effect.
If your were unable to execute the installscript.sh command in Step 22, you
can set the customer-related parameters manually as described in the next
section. Wait until after you have completed the manual procedure before
rebooting. Also, if you will be installing a license file you should wait to
reboot until after the license file is installed.
24. The password file installation is complete.
NOTE:
Not performing Step 22 will cause alarming to fail.
