Installation Tasks
‰ Upgrade R10 or later for DEFINITY One or
IP600.
Use the Feature Extraction Tool (FET), if
~
upgrading from a pre-R10 system.
Prepare for the upgrade.
~
Install a new license file.
~
Run the upgrade.
~
‰ Replace the TN2314 circuit pack for repair.
‰ Replace the hard disk.
Remove the old disk.
~
Add the new hard disk.
~
Verify the software on the new hard disk.
~
Restore customer's data.
~
When upgrading to a new release, do not
restore the Windows registry.
‰ Replace the PCMCIA flash disk.
‰ Defragment the disk using Diskeeper software.
Note:
‰ Test remote access from the TSO before
leaving the upgrade site.
Upgrade the system.

CAUTION:
Do not schedule defragmentation to
occur during scheduled system
maintenance.
