3. Open the Action menu and click New User.
The New User window displays.
4. Enter a "User name" (for example dromano).
5. Enter the user's "Full name" (for example, Don Romano).
6. Enter a Description of the user (not required).
7. Enter an initial Password.
8. Enter the same characters in Confirm Password.
9. Select the "User must change password at next logon" checkbox.
This makes each user create a password of their choosing when logging in
for the first time.
10. Leave "Account is disabled" unchecked.
11. Click Create.
This user is now registered. They can log in and you can add them to a
user group.
12. Repeat steps 3 through 9 for each user you wish to add.
13. Click Close and close all the intermediate windows.
Setting up a CAS user group and adding members
To set up a CAS user group:
1. Double-click the following icons: Administrative Tools > Computer
Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups and select the
Groups folder.
The Groups section of the Local Users and Groups window displays.
2. Open the Action menu and click New Group.
3. Enter a "Group name" (for example CAS Users).
4. Enter a Description of the user group (not required).
5. In the input box under Members, enter each member separated by a
semicolon. (for example, "dromano;jsmith;rwilson")
6. Click Check Names.
This process takes a little time.
7. Click OK.
This user group is created and contains the members you identified.
8. Click Close and close all the intermediate windows.
