4. Make sure the jumpers on your board are
positioned over the following pairs of pins: E4
and E5; and El and E2. See Fig. 2-2.
If any jumper is positioned incorrectly, grasp
it between thumb and forefinger and lift it
straight up, taking care not to bend the pins.
Reposition it carefully over the correct pins,
then go to Step 6.

Make sure the jumpers on your modem option
board are positioned over the following pairs of
pins: El and E2; E4 and E5; E7 and ES; Ell
and El2; E13 and E14. See Fig. 2-3.
. If any jumper is positioned incorrectly, grasp
it between thumb and forefinger and lift it
straight up, taking care not to bend the pins.
Note: You may find it easier to remove the jumpers
with a pair of tweezers or needle-nosed pliers.

Locate the position for the modem option board.
Note: Because the modem option board has only
one edge connector, it should be inserted into the
first available single row socket to the right.
