. Locate jumper J22 on the Comm Board .
Check to be sure that jumper plug P22 is
covering pin positions 1 and 2, as shown in
the illustration below.
. Locate jumper J23. In the illustration
below, jumper plug P23 is covering pin
positions 2 and 3. Hold jumper plug P23
between thumb and forefinger and lift
straight up, taking care not to bend the pins.
Then reposition it over jumper pins 1 and 2.

. Put the 610 Cl Comm Board back into the
Memorywriter. Replace the top cover.
Connect the modem eliminator cable.
- Plug one end of the modem eliminator cable
into the EIA cable supplied with the
Memorywriter 610 Cl. Tighten the screws.
- Plug the other end of the modem eliminator
cable into the "serial" port on the back of the
processor. Tighten the screws.
Use the Comm options default settings . They
are:
Baud 300, Parity even, Auto linefeed On, and ESC
On.
