Plug an RS-232 cable with a modem
eliminator into the connector marked
"Serial" on the back of the processor, using a
parallel cable. You can order RS-232 cables
from your local Xerox/Diablo sales
representative, or directly from Diablo. The
modem eliminator (also called a "null
modem" or "'direct connect cable") is a
common computer part which can be found at
most computer stores, or ordered directly
from Xerox.
Look behind the panel pictured in Fig. 3-16
for the cartridge containing the operating
mode switches.
