• Locate a Serial RS232 cable with a modem
eliminator and p1ug the cable into the
connector marked "Serial" on the back of the
processor.
You can order Serial RS232
cables from your local Xerox/Diablo sales
representative, or directly from Diablo. The
modem eliminator (also called a "null
modem" or "direct connect cable") is a
common computer part which can be found at
most computer stores, or ordered directly
from Xerox.
• Remove your paper guide by lifting up and
pulling forward on it.
• You will find a panel behind the carriage
assembly. Lift up on this panel to locate the
operating switches. See Fig. 3-14.
