630 API Printer
The 630 API (All Purpose Interface) Printer can
be set up as either a parallel or serial printer. To
use it as a parallel printer, follow the steps below.
To use it as a serial printer, go to p. 3-11.
How to set up the 630 API Printer as a parallel printer
PRINTERS
To use the 630 API printer as a parallel printer:
- Plug a parallel printer cable into the
connector marked "parallel" on the back of
the processor. You can order parallel cables
either from your local Xerox/Diablo sales
representative or directly fromDiablo.
Check to be sure the operating mode
switches are set exactly as illustrated on the
next page.
The operating mode switches for the 630 API
printer are located behind the external
control panel, and are covered when the front
cover is in place.
