Notice that the pins on the chip spread
outward. See Fig. 2-3.
Straighten the pins by holding first one side
and then the other against a flat surface and
pressing gently.

Align the notch on the chip with the notch in
the socket. See Fig. 2-4.
Note: If either the chip or socket have no
notch, position the chip so that the wording
on its back is in line with the wording on
memory chips that are already installed.

Install the 8087-2 chip. See Fig. 2-5 .
Align the pins on the chip with the holes in
the socket.
