INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
*DECKLID AJAR INDICATOR NOT OPERATING PROPERLY —
TEST
4 Open the decklid and observe the decklid ajar indicator.
Is the decklid ajar indicator illuminated?
Yes → The decklid ajar indicator is operating properly at this time, check
→ Go To 5
No
5 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the decklid release solenoid/ajar switch harness connector.
Connect a jumper wire between the decklid ajar switch sense circuit and ground.
With the jumper wire connected to ground, monitor the decklid ajar indicator.
Is the decklid ajar indicator illuminated?
Yes → Replace the decklid release solenoid/ajar switch.
→ Go To 6
No
6 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the decklid release solenoid/ajar switch harness connector.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the decklid ajar switch sense circuit between the decklid
release solenoid/ajar switch connector and the Instrument Cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 7
→ Repair the decklid ajar switch sense circuit for an open.
No
7 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C1 harness connector.
Measure the voltage of the Fused B+ circuit (cavity 3).
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
Yes → Replace the Instrument Cluster.
→ Repair the Fused B+ circuit for an open.
No
ACTION
for a intermittent wiring condition.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
