*ATC BLOWER MOTOR INOPERATIVE —
TEST
4 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Blower Motor Power Module harness connector.
Disconnect the Blower Motor 2-way harness connector at the Blower Motor Power
Module.
Replace the Junction Block Fuse #23.
Connect a jumper wire between the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit in the
Blower Motor Power Module connector and the DG wire in the Blower Motor
connector.
Connect a jumper wire between the Ground circuit in the Blower Motor Power
Module connector and the Black wire in the Blower Motor connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Listen to the blower motor for proper operation.
Did the Blower Motor operate at full speed without blowing the fuse?
Yes → Replace the Blower Motor Power Module.
→ Replace the Blower Motor.
No
5 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Blower Motor Power Module harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Ground circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 6
→ Repair the Ground circuit for an open.
No
6 Turn the ignition off.
NOTE: Ensure Fuse #23 is installed in the Junction Block.
Disconnect the Blower Motor Power Module harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the Fused Ignition Switch
Output circuit in the Blower Motor Power Module connector.
Is the test light illuminated?
Yes → Go To 7
→ Repair the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit for an open.
No
7 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Blower Motor Power Module harness connector.
Disconnect the Body Control Module C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Blower Motor Control circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Blower Motor Control circuit for a short to ground.
→ Go To 8
No
