Film Jam in Area 2 or 3
(Alarm sounds)
Description
This error occurs if the trailing edge is not detected at the EXPOSURE TRANSPORT
ENTRANCE SENSOR (S12) after the film moves from the FILM REGISTRATION area. The
error is cleared when the IMAGER DOORS are opened then closed. Open is indicated by the
I3 INTERLOCK (PROCESSOR and vertical DOOR) open. Close is indicated by the I3
INTERLOCK closed. When this error occurs, the PROCESSOR stops rotating and the
HEATER is turned off. All films in the PRINTER will be marked bad and reprinted
automatically. This includes films in the lower part of the PRINTER that will also be cleared
automatically when the IMAGER is locked.
Result of Error
The PRINTER cannot print films. The SPOOLER is able to receive and queue jobs but new
films will not be initiated. Films downstream of the subsystem will be completed. All other
films will be reprinted.
User Action
1
Open all DOORS on the IMAGER.
2
Remove any films in area 2.
Note
Use the FILM FEED KNOB in area 2 to move the film down to the "bottom" access area.
3
