Error 20-004: USB Did Not initialize

Description
This error occurs when the DRE cannot successfully initialize the USB circuits and cannot
transfer image data. The error can be caused by a disconnected or malfunctioning USB
CABLE or by a problem in the USB circuits in the DRE computer or in the DATAPATH
BOARD. The error is cleared when power is cycled on the IMAGER.
Result of Error
The DRE is not functional.
User Action
1
Restart the LASER IMAGER from the LOCAL PANEL.

If the error occurs again, call Service.
FE Action
Do the actions below in sequence. If an action provides a resolution, do not continue with the
other actions.

De-energize then energize the LASER IMAGER.

Check the connection on the DATAPATH USB CABLE.

Install a new HARD DRIVE. See the ADJUSTMENTS AND REPLACEMENTS,
DRIVE - DRE

Install a new DRE. See the ADJUSTMENTS AND REPLACEMENTS,
ENGINE
