Configuring the remote host address and file name for
log transfer
To configure the remote host address and file name for log transfer, use the
following NNCLI command from the Global Config mode:
logging transferFile <id> [add-IP [ipaddr>] [filename
<filename>] [remove-IPS]

Configuration example
This configuration example uses the commands in Table 11, "Configure the
remote host address and file name for log transfer," on page 36 to add an IP
address for a new host.

Configure the remote host address and file name for log transfer
Note: When the PCMCIA is removed from the master CPU, a trap is
generated and system logging continues in DRAM only.
Specifies an ID for the remote TFTP/FTP host. The
range is 1..10.
Adds the IP address of the host to which the log file
needs to be transferred. You can configure only a
reachable remote host.
Replace <
> with the file name of the file
filename
stored in the remote host. If not configured, the current
log file name is the default.
If this option is set, the previously transferred log file is
overwritten on the remote server.
Note: Nortel recommends that you do not set this
option.
Removes the IP address configured by the user. It is
then set to the default (0.0.0.0).
