    Always assume that fiber optic cables are connected to a light source. Removing a filler panel Nortel ships the Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 series chassis with a filler panel covering each empty module slot. On a 8006, 8010, 8306, or 8310 Chassis, the filler panel covers an empty module slot.
