Description
Defines the level of flux braking power. (Other stopping and
braking modes can be configured in parameter group
Start/stop
mode).
See section
Flux braking
Note: This is an expert level parameter and should not be
adjusted without appropriate skill.
Flux braking is disabled.
Flux level is limited during the braking. Deceleration time is
longer compared to full braking.
Maximum braking power. Almost all available current is used
to convert the mechanical braking energy to thermal energy
in the motor.
Defines the source of flux reference.
Note: This is an expert level parameter and should not be
adjusted without appropriate skill.

Defines the flux reference when parameter

is set to
User-defined flux reference.
This parameter can be used to improve the control dynamics
of a synchronous reluctance motor or a salient permanent
magnet synchronous motor.
As a rule of thumb, define a level to which the output torque
must rise with minimum delay. This will increase the motor
current and improve the torque response at low speeds.
Optimizer torque limit.
An optimization setting for balancing between control
performance and motor noise level.
Note: This is an expert level parameter and should not be
adjusted without appropriate skill.
Control performance optimized for long motor cables.
Minimizes motor noise.
Note: This setting requires derating. Refer to the rating data
in the Hardware manual.
Control performance optimized for cyclic load applications.
Note: This setting is not suitable for long motor cables.
This setting is to be used by ABB-authorized service
personnel only.
Note: This setting may require derating. Refer to the rating
data in the Hardware manual.
