Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counter­

INSPECT POWER WINDOW MOTOR OPERATION
Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal

1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, check that the
motor turns clockwise.

Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counter­

Driver's door:

INSPECT PTC OPERATION

Disconnect the connector from the window motor.
{a )
Connect the positive (+) lead from the ammeter to termi­
(b)
nal 1 of the wire harness side connector and the negative
(-) lead to negative terminal of the battery.
Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
(c)
2 of the wire harness side connector, and raise the win­
dow to the fully closed position.
Continue to apply voltage, check that the current changes
(d)
from approximately
conds.
Disconnect the leads from terminals.
(e)
Approximately 90 seconds later, connect the positive (+)
(f)
lead from the battery to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead
to terminal 2, check that the window begins to descend.
If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
