INSPECT DEFOGGER SWITCH CIRCUIT

Connector connected:
Connect the connector from the switch and inspect the wire har·
ness side connector from the back side as shown in the chart
Condition
Ignition switch ON and de!ogger switch OFF
nit ion switch ON and defogger switch ON
II the ClrCUtt tS not as spectfted, tr y replacmg the swttch wtth a
new one.
If the circuit is not as specified, inspect !he circuit connected to
other parts.
4. INSPECT DEFOGGER RELAY CONTINUITY

INSPECT DEFOGGER WIRE

NOTICE:
•
When cleaning the glass, use a soft, dry cloth, and wipe the
glass in the direction of the wire. Take care not to damage
the wires.
Do not use detergents or glass cleaners with abrasive in­
gredients.
When measuring voltage, wind a piece of tin foil around the

top of the negat'lve probe and press the foil against the wire
with your finger, as shown.
Turn the ignition switch ON.

Turn the defogger switch ON.

Inspect the voltage at the center of each heat wire, as
