1. SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER ACTIVATION WHEN
SCRAPPING VEHICLE
HINT:
Battery
Have a battery ready as the power source to activate the seat
belt pretensioner.
Check functioning of SST.
(a)
CAUTION:
When activating the seat belt pretensioner, always use the
specified SST: SRS Airbag Deployment Tool.

HINT:
Do not connect the yellow connector which will be connected
with the seat belt pretensioner.

of the SST activation switch lights up.
CAUTION:
If the LED lights up when the activation switch is not being
pressed, SST malfunction is probable, so definitely do not
use the SST.
Disconnect the pretensioner connector.
(b)
( 1 ) Remove the door scuff plate.
Remove the package tray trim.

(4) Remove the luggage compartment trim.
Remove the luggage compartment mat.
(5)
(6) Remove the rear deck trim cover.
(7)
(8) Remove the seatback hinge.
(9) Remove the seatback lock striker.
(10) Remove the rear seat outer belt floor anchor.
(11)
Remove the quarter trim paneL

Connect the SST to the battery.
Connect the red clip of the SST to the battery posi­
tive (+) terminal and the black clip to the battery neg­
ative {-) terminal.
Check functioning of SST.
Press the SST activation switch, and check the LED
Remove the rear seat (See page 80-1 02).
Remove the deck trim side panel.
