2.4.4 Installing Expansion Unit
(KX-TD170 / KX-TD180)
If KX-TD180 is to be installed; (for KX-TD816C/NL/NZ)
Insert the modular plugs of the telephone line cords (4-conductor wiring) into the modular
jacks on the unit.

Failure Transfer †

If KX-TD170D is to be installed;
(for KX-TD816BX/HK/ML)
Insert required telephone wires into the
holes in a plug.
Fix the transparent part into the black part.
Note Do not peel off the coating of the wires.
Insert the wires to the ends.
