L.5.3 Field Upgrade Procedure
While the illustrations provided in this section depict upgrade of a CDM-625 Advanced Satellite Modem chassis, this
procedure is identical for upgrade of the CDM-625A chassis).
Step Task
1
Turn off the CDM-625A and disconnect the modem's power
cord from its power source (CDM-625 chassis shown).
Next, use the screwdriver to remove the top cover mounting
hardware. Remove the cover from the CDM-625A chassis.
IMPORTANT: Be s ure t o r etain t he t op c over m ounting
hardware for cover re-installation o nce you h ave i nstalled
the IP Packet Processor Card and its cooling fan.
