Small, L-shaped plastic piece to be placed above the receiver
speaker to ensure the sound of alerts and alarms is audible.
This is when you take a blood glucose value on the meter
using a blood sample from an area on the body other than
the fingertip. Do not use alternative site testing to calibrate the
receiver.
A disposable piece that comes attached to the sensor pod and
inserts the sensor under the skin. There is a needle inside the
applicator that you remove after you insert the sensor.
When the Dexcom G4 PLATINUM Receiver is set to hide
sensor glucose readings and glucose trend information. The
receiver records glucose information that can be downloaded
and reviewed later with the Dexcom STUDIO software.
Blood glucose meter. You can use any commercially available
meter for testing blood glucose.
Blood glucose value. A blood glucose value taken with the
commercially available blood glucose meter.
When you enter blood glucose values from a blood glucose
meter into the receiver. Calibrations are needed for the
receiver to show continuous sensor glucose readings and
trend information. (Do not use alternative site testing for
calibration).
Continuous Glucose Monitoring.
