Disinfection
Disinfection removes and destroys microorganisms and pathogens
from the transmitter's surface. Disinfect the transmitter between each
user and whenever you suspect that blood or body fluid has come in
contact with the surface of the device. You will need Clorox Healthcare
Bleach Germicidal Cleaner (formerly, "Dispatch;" any disinfectant
product containing a bleach solution strength of 6500 parts per million
with the EPA registration number 56392-7 may be used), Dispatch
Hospital Cleaner Disinfectant Towels with Bleach (any disinfectant wipes
containing a bleach solution strength of 6500 parts per million with the
EPA registration number 56392-8 may be used), low-lint cloths or wipes,
and water (products needed are illustrated in the next image). Clean the
transmitter before disinfecting.
