a. The startup calibration symbol will stay at the top of the trend graph
until you calibrate.
b. The system will re-alert you every 15 minutes until you enter the
blood glucose values.
c. If you do not clear the prompt, the system will re-alert you every 5
minutes.
2. Take 2 separate blood glucose measurements with the blood glucose
meter, and enter the blood glucose values into the receiver (see
Chapter 7, Section 7.2, How to Calibrate).

7.4 12-HOUR CALIBRATION UPDATE

Calibrate the system at least every 12 hours after the first calibration
(2-hour startup calibration) to make sure the sensor glucose readings
remain accurate and close to the blood glucose meter values. You can
enter blood glucose values earlier than 12 hours if you want. If you have
not entered any blood glucose values in the past 12 hours, the receiver
will prompt you to enter a blood glucose value to update its calibration
by displaying the calibration prompt.
NOTE: The 12-hour calibration update will not audibly alert you to the
need to calibrate. A calibration prompt will silently appear on the receiver
screen to let you know it is time to calibrate.
WARNING
Calibrate at least once every 12 hours. Calibrating less
often than every 12 hours might cause sensor glucose
readings to be inaccurate, and you might miss a low or
high blood glucose value.
