APPENDIX J: SCV64 Application Notes

Local Interrupts

Registers 0h, 8h-Fh (except Ch) of the SCV64 control the masking, level mapping, vector options and
show the status of the six general purpose local interrupts (LIRQ0-LIRQ5) and the five local interrupts
dedicated to level 7 (L7I0-L7I3, BI-mode). All of the general interrupts and four of the level 7 (all except
L7I0) interrupts can be masked. All interrupts are autovectored, except for LIRQ4 and LIRQ5 which can
be programmed to be vectored or autovectored.

The following interrupt assignments are recommended for a PT-VME161 board:

Write 1Fh to the SCV64 Level 7 Interrupt Enable Register to enable the level 7 interrupts.
Write 3Fh to SCV64 Local Interrupt Enable Register to enable the general interrupts.
Write 13h to SCV64 Local Interrupts 1 and 0 Control Register to map LIRQ0 to level 3 and
LIRQ1 to level 1.
Write 45h to SCV64 Local Interrupts 3 and 2 Control Register to map LIRQ2 to level 5 and
LIRQ3 to level 4.
Write 62h to SCV64 Local Interrupts 5 and 4 Control Register to map LIRQ4 to level 2,
vectored and LIRQ5 to level 6, vectored.
