Using CLI to Manage the Access Point
General Notes on CLI
Table - Tables hold parameters for several related items. For example, you can add several potential managers to the
SNMP Table. All items for a given Table can be displayed with a show <Table> CLI Command.
TFTP - Refers to the both TFTP Server and clients, used for file transfers.

Navigation and Special Keys

The CLI supports the following navigation and special key functions to move the cursor along the prompt line.
Key Combination Operation
DEL, Backspace (BS): Delete previous character
Ctrl-B: Moves back along the command line
Ctrl-F: Moves forward along the command line
Ctrl-A: Moves to the beginning of the command line
Ctrl-E: moves to the end of the command line
TAB: will attempt command completion
?: will provide command listing
#: used at the beginning of lines for comments
exit: Terminates the CLI session

The following table describes the error messages associated with improper inputs:

Help Message
When you type the command at the CLI and then press Enter, this will list the inputs that can use.
Example:
Device-Name (Config-dev<config>-vlan)# status
Identifier <enable(1)/disable(2)>required
NOTE: Here status is the command, input ranges are enable and disable. You can give 1 and 2.
Device-Name (config-dev<config>-vlan)# status enable
Or
Device-Name (config-dev<config>-vlan)# status 1
Device-Name (config-dev<config>-vlan)# status disable
Or
Device-Name (config-dev<config>-vlan)# status 2
A non-existent command has been entered at the command
prompt.
An invalid value has been entered at the command prompt
