Cleaning the imaging
guides

Maintenance procedures that should be performed daily include
cleaning the feed and separator rollers, the paper path, vacuuming
inside the scanner, and cleaning the imaging guides.
NOTE: Imaging guides may need to be cleaned more frequently; and
should be cleaned last.
To clean the imaging guides, follow the steps below:

2. Locate and grasp the end of the upper imaging guide. Carefully
slide the imaging guide out of its track.
3. Locate and grasp the end of the lower imaging guide. Carefully
slide the imaging guide out of its track.
4. Remove dust from the imaging guides, using a soft bristle brush.
