The only way to remove an interface from the Default VLAN is to place the interface in Default mode by
entering the
no switchport
command to move untagged interfaces from the Default VLAN to another VLAN:

Purpose
Access the INTERFACE VLAN mode of the VLAN
to which you want to assign the interface.
Configure an interface as untagged.
This command is available only in VLAN interfaces.

Use the show vlan command to determine interface
status. Interface (gi 3/2) is untagged and in the
Default VLAN (vlan 1).
In a port-based VLAN (vlan 4), use the untagged
command to add the interface to that VLAN.
The show vlan command output displays the
interface's changed status (gi 3/2). Since the Default
VLAN no longer contains any interfaces, it is listed as
inactive.
