Fault finding aid
Chart 3 : Slipping in reverse gear.
If the warning light is operational and it remains extinguished
when there is a fault, check the conformity of the dipstick on the
table in MR T.A.M.
Replace the dipstick if it is incorrect.
Check the oil level and top it up if necessary.
After checking / replacing the dipstick and topping up the level,
does the fault persist?
yes no
Is there engine braking in 1st Correct
no
gear hold?
yes
Brake F1 is faulty.
Refer to the instructions for replacement in MR T.A.M.
Check the hydraulic distributor sequence valves slide
Is there absolutely no slip when correctly and clean it if necessary.
changing 2/3?
no yes
Recheck your
diagnosis
Check the drive hub, the condition of the quadrant rings and the
condition of E2.
Replace E2 and if its condition warrants it, replace the drive hub.
(Refer to the instructions for replacement in MR T.A.M.)
