Secondary Shaft; Output Shaft - Renault Clio Workshop Repair Manual

Remove:
- circlips (1) and (7),
- the output shaft (13) fitted with the pinion
gear (11) and the circlip (12),
- the secondary shaft (5) together with the pin-
ion (3),
- the bearings (2) and (8), separating spring
rings (9) and (10).

Secondary shaft (5)

Mark the position of pinion (3) on (5).
Extract the pinion (3) using the press.
N N N N O O O O T T T T E E E E : : : : do not mark the bearing faces.

Output shaft (13)

Mark the position of pinion (11) on (13).
Remove the circlip (12) and extract the pinion (11)
using the press.

Check the condition of:
- the teeth,
- the white metal faced bushes on (13),
- the splines,
- the general condition of the casing.
