Fault finding using bargraph illumination
BARGRAPH 3 RH ILLUMINATED:

Load potentiometer fault

Check that the potentiometer is correctly connected to the harness and
check the condition of the wiring.
Check the 5 volt feed to the potentiometer:
Is there a voltage of 4.5 0.5 volts on track B of the potentiometer
connector (C on the Trafic)?
no yes
Replace the computer if the wiring between Check/adjust the load potentiometer (refer
the computer and the connector is not
to MR T.A.M..
faulty. After the repair, does the fault persist?
Erase the memory if the new computer is an
M 4-3.
no
yes
Success
Change and adjust the potentiometer
(Refer to MR T.A.M.).
yes
Does the fault persist?
no
Check the condition under the bonnet of the automatic
transmission wiring but also of the high voltage leads.
Success
After the repair, does the fault persist?
yes no
Replace the computer Success
and erase the memory
if fitting an M 4-3
computer.
