If certain fields ask you to choose from a list of entries, press the plus (+)
or minus(-) keys repeatedly to display each possible entry, or press the
Return key to choose from a pop-up menu.
If small arrows precede some field names, you can access the submenu by
selecting it with the arrow keys and pressing the Return key.
The submenu then appears in place of the current screen.

If you are making selections from a pop-up menu, use the Esc key to close
the pop-up without making a selection.

If you press Esc on a submenu, the previous screen appears.
If you press the Esc key on one of the top-level screens, the Exit menu
appears.

Setting the HP NetServer's Boot Passwords

You can configure the HP NetServer LXr 8500 to require a password upon
booting. Further, you can have a separate user password and administrator
password.
To configure the HP NetServer to require a boot password:
1. Select Security from the Setup menu, using the right-arrow or left-arrow
key.
As soon as you do this, the Security menu appears.
2. Move to the Password on Boot field, using the down-arrow key.
3. If the entry in this field is Disabled, press the Return key to change it to
Enabled.
When the Password on Boot feature is enabled, the HP NetServer requests
a password upon booting. If it does not receive the password, the HP
NetServer remains in Secure Mode.
4. Use the arrow keys to move to the Set User Password or Set Supervisor
Password field and then press the Enter key.
A dialog box appears for you to enter a new password.
5. In the Enter New Password field, type in the new password and press
Enter.
For security reasons, the password does not appear on the screen.
