b. Check all accessory boards are firmly seated in the slots.
c. Verify the DIMMs are firmly seated on the memory board.
d. Verify the DIMMs are made by Hewlett-Packard.
e. Ensure all disk drive power and data cables are securely and properly
connected, at the rear of each drive.
f. Verify the mass storage configuration with the cabling and switch
diagrams.
g. Replace the HP NetServer cover.
h. Replace all power cords and power cables.
i. Turn on the monitor.
j. Turn on the HP NetServer at the control panel.
k. Check for error messages.
4. Run the HP NetServer DiagTools diskettes (2).
If you do not have the diskettes, you can create the diskettes by inserting
the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM in a system and selecting
DiagTools from the HP NetServer Utilities menu. Follow the instructions
to create diskettes (2) for DiagTools.

If the HP NetServer Passes POST but Shuts Down While Booting

Use this procedure to check for failures after the HP NetServer passes the POST.

Check for fan failures, power supply failures, or processor failures.
l
Check the control panel LCD to see if it indicates the correct number of
power supplies and processors are present or installed in the NetServer.

If the HP NetServer Passes POST but a Processor is disabled

If a processor is disabled during the HP NetServer's power-on self-test (POST),
you can re-enable it through the Setup Utility:
1. Start the Setup Utility.
2. Use the right-arrow or left-arrow key to go to the Server menu.
3. Once there, use the down-arrow key to go to the Server Processor
Retest field.
4. Once there, choose Yes.
