Chapter 2: System Configuration
PNNI 1.0 L -
Indicates that port is using for PNNI 1.0 for Signalling. The "L" signifies
that the PNNI Node ID for this interface is less than (Lower) the adjacent Node ID.
Indicates that the port is using IISP 3.0 with UNI 3.0 for inter-switch
IISP 3.0 N -
communication. The "N" signifies that this is a network side stack.
IISP 3.0 U -
Indicates that the port is using IISP with UNI 3.0 for inter-switch
communication. The "U" signifies that this is a user side stack.
Indicates that the port is using IISP with UNI 3.1 for inter-switch
IISP 3.1 N -
communication. The "N" signifies that this is a network side stack.
IISP 3.1 U -
Indicates that the port is using IISP with UNI 3.1 for inter-switch
communication. The "U" signifies that this is a user side stack.
Indicates that the port is using IISP with UNI 4.0 for inter-switch
IISP 4.0 N -
communication. The "N" signifies that this is a network side stack.
IISP 4.0 U -
Indicates that the port is using IISP with UNI 4.0 for inter-switch
communication. The "U" signifies that this is a user side stack.
Stack State
Describes the current state of the stack displayed in the Stack Type field. The definitions of the
states that may display in this field are described as follows:
Indicates there has never been a signalling stack present on this interface.
NULL -
Indicates the Signalling or PNNI stack in the Stack Type field is currently operating
UP -
on this interface.
Indicates that there has been a Signalling or PNNI stack operating on this
DOWN -
interface, but it is not currently operating.
WConP (Wait for Configured PNNI) -
PNNI. Configured PNNI is achieved when either of the following conditions occur: the
PNNI hello state is 2-Way Inside and the PNNI database state is Full, or the PNNI hello
state is Common Outside.
The Stack State field will usually only display "UP" "NULL", "DOWN" or "WConP".
NOTE
The following definitions for the Stack State field may display on rare occasions.
These states are important for troubleshooting by Cabletron Systems Field Service,
or Technical Support personnel.
WStaS (Wait for Start Signalling) -
to be started.
WStos (Wait for Stop Signalling) -
to be stopped.
DSta (Deferred Start Signalling) -
waiting until a previous Signalling stack is stopped on this interface.

Indicates that the interface is waiting for Signalling
Indicates that the interface is waiting for Signalling
Indicates that Signalling is attempting to start, but is
